AZEL Company celebrated a 20th year anniversary

Image This year AZEL Company celebrates their 20th anniversary. During a 20-year period of existence AZEL passed a long way from a small computer company till the biggest IKT Company in Azerbaijan.

On June 27, 2011 in the “Ramada” Hotel AZEL Company celebrated 20th anniversary. In the party took part representatives of the partner companies - HP, Samsung, Canon, ambassadors and representatives of foreign countries accredited in Azerbaijan Republic – UK, Russian Federation, Ukraine, China, India, Korea, representatives of the President Administration, IKT Ministry, Parliament, governmental structures, banking sector, guests from Israel and USA.

Ceremonial part of the evening was opened by welcome speech of the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, AZEL – Igor Yakovenko. He mentioned main achievements of the company during the 20 years’ history. “AZEL is a pioneer in the IKT market of Azerbaijan and it was a first company which signed partnership agreement with HP and Microsoft and become their official partner in Azerbaijan Republic. Now we have more than 30 vendor companies in our portfolio. We are Gold Partner of HP, Microsoft, Oracle, Symantec, Premier Partner of Cisco, Silver Partner of NetApp and we continue to develop our partnership with leading world manufacturers. We achieved a lot in the past 20 years but not intended to rest on our laurels. AZEL looks ahead with confidence and ready for new victories and achievements” – underlined Igor Yakovenko. In conclusion Igor Yakovenko expressed its warm appreciation to the colleagues who were standing at the origins of the company for their hard work, dedication, knowledge and skills embedded in the overall success.

Then the floor was given to the deputy of the National Parliament, academician Ziyad Samadzadeh. He noted that AZEL was a pioneer of the IKT market in Azerbaijan and wished success and prosperity to the company. Also, words of greetings were expressed by colleagues and partners of the company.

Within the framework of the party Deputy Minister of the Communication and Information Technologies Mr. Elmir Velizadeh presented to Igor Yakovenko diploma from the IKT Minister Mr. Ali Abbasov for a contribution made to the development of information technologies in Azerbaijan Republic.
