On September 6-8, 2007 the World Economic Forum in one of the biggest industrial and tourist centers of China - Dalian, was held.

Azerbaijani delegation was leaded by the International Bank of Azerbaijan and included leaders of the biggest Azerbaijani companies.

The main purpose of this event was the establishment of bilateral relations between global economical leaders playing an important role in global community development in general and its separate regions, and the leading specialist from over the world.

In summit took part more than 1700 representatives of the biggest companies from more than 90 countries and officials from The People’s Republic of China, Singapore, Spain, UAE, Lebanon, Denmark, Russia, Japan, Brazil, Hindustan, Baltic Countries and other regions of the world.

Azerbaijan was presented by financial and IT companies. International Bank of Azerbaijan along with ABN Amro, Deutsche Bank, Ernst&Young, Goldman Sachs, Intel Corporation, Siemens and many other companies has a status of Partner of the Forum. In the frame of the forum bilateral meetings and negotiations were held between Chinese and Azerbaijani businessmen. As a result, several tentative agreements for the purpose of forthcoming business projects were held between Azerbaijani and Chinese businessmen in People’s Republic of China.
