The US Embassy in Azerbaijan marked the World IP Day (April 26) by hosting an essay contest for Azerbaijani students, young professionals , and individuals in the start-up community. The purpose of the contest was to get participants thinking critically about IP issues, including IPR protection.
AZEL Systems was one of the co-sponsors of the contest and donated a prize (iPad) to one of the winners.
The award ceremony for the contest winner was held on 22.05.2020 in the AZEL Systems offices where company President Igor Yakovenko officially presented the prize to the winner Nigar Hamidli.
I. Yakovenko congratulated the winner and wished her success in the future. He stressed that AZEL Systems has always supported IPR protection and that he hopes that this contest will further raise awareness about this issue in Azerbaijan. He concluded by saying that AZEL Systems was very happy to donate a prize from one of its partners (Apple company) to the winner.
Nigar Hamidli in turn thanked the US Embassy for organizing and to AZEL Systems for co-sponsoring the competition and for the prize. She highlighted the fact that the iPad will help her in her studies and expressed hope that similar competitions can be held in future again.
